Berry Amendment compliance

Berry Amendment compliance

Originally passed in 1941, the Berry Amendment requires the Department of Defense to procure food, clothing, fabrics, yarns, and other textiles exclusively from sources that are grown or produced in the United States. We produce many custom yarns that are Berry Amendment compliant, allowing us to serve as a textile supplier for governmental agencies.

USMCA

USMCA compliance

The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, is an agreement between the United States, Canada, and Mexico that went into effect in 2020 as a replacement to the 1994 North American Free Trade Agreement. The purpose of the USMCA is to give preferential tariff treatment to products originating from the USMCA territory. According to the USMCA Rules of Origin, originating products are goods that are “wholly obtained or produced entirely in the territory of one or more of the Parties” or “using non-originating materials, provided the goods satisfy all applicable requirements.”

As a business that is USMCA-compliant, our textiles can be traced back to domestic or neighboring sources, making the delivery of these products within the North American continent more economical.
